GWR: Nigeria's Hilda Baci finally crossed the line


Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, widely known as Hilda Buci, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Hilda surpassed the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon on Monday morning at 7:45 am, who had cooked for an impressive 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

As of the time of writing this article, Hilda has already achieved a remarkable cooking time of 88 hours and 19 minutes, with her sights set on reaching the incredible milestone of 96 hours.

The determined chef is scheduled to complete this extraordinary feat at 5 pm on Monday, where she will officially secure her place in culinary history.

Hilda's remarkable achievement has garnered tremendous support, particularly from Nigerians, as well as celebrities and politicians throughout the country.
