JUST IN: Buhari suspends Magu as EFCC acting chairman

Ibrahim Magu
Ibrahim Magu has been suspended as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This development comes a day after he was arrested and detained by security operatives in Abuja.

He had appeared before a panel probing allegations of gross misconduct against him.

Recall that the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, had accused the anti-graft boss of gross infractions.

The AGF had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Mr. Magu over some allegations, including the diversion of recovered loot.
