CORRUPTION: It is now your turn for criminalizing others on Media — Sen Sani mocks Magu

Senator Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th senate, has mocked the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Magu, who was arrested on Monday by the Department of State Services DSS over allegations of insubordination and ‘relooting of recovered funds’ levelled against him by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, had accused the anti-graft boss of gross infractions.

The AGF had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Mr. Magu over some allegations, including the diversion of recovered loot.

Reacting in a tweet on Tuesday, Sani said it is now the turn of the anti-graft boss to face what he has been accusing others for on the media. He said the EFCC will first invite a person for questioning, and then feed the media with a different story in order to criminalize that person after honoring the invitation.

He wrote, "They will invite you with a letter and when you honour the invitation, they will feed the media with the news that you have been arrested in order to scandalize you. Now it returns to them."
