Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, received some whips from Nigerians, for praising president Buhari and saying Nigerians were not grateful enough despite Buhari's remarkable performance since becoming president in 2015.
While opinions will forever split between the hailers and wailers, on whether or not Buhari has delivered, the President doesn't seem to be under any sort of pressure as himself, alongside those in his circle, believed he has done remarkably well.
The governor in his Sallah message on Friday, in Birnin Kebbi, said the security situation in the country has greatly improved since Buhari took over as president, compared to his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.
He added that the fight against corruption had attained a feat in the country while accountability had significantly improved.
Bagudu had also commended the president for his confidence in one of the illustrious son of the state, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
He said: “On security, there are increasing efforts by the security agencies to bolster peace and security in the nation.
“Buhari succeeded in turning around the economy of the country, as he pledged.
“Buhari had successfully delivered on all the three cardinal promises which he promised during his 2015 campaign.
“Kebbi State has also remained one of the most peaceful states.”
