Who has bewitched Nigeria? — Fani-Kayode reacts over shootings in Aso Rock

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode
Former Minister of Aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has also reacted to reports of shootings in the presidential villa following a feud between the family members of the president and his officials.

Recall that there were shootings at the Presidential Villa Abuja when First Lady, Dr. Aisha Buhari, members of her immediate family and her Aide-de-camp, Usman Shugaba attempted to force Sabiu Yusuf, a Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari into self-isolation, according to ThisDay.

The incident, which is regarded as a ‘security breach’ happened after the Yusuf returned from Lagos State where his wife was put to bed.

Trouble started when the First Lady, Zahra, Halima and Yusuf, accompanied by some of her security aides led by the Aide-de-Camp, went to the residence of Sabiu, who is the President’s nephew, demanding that he (Sabiu) self-isolate for 14 days, so as not to endanger the first family.

But Sabiu was said to have escaped after gunshots were fired by the First Lady’s ADC in an attempt to apprehend the President’s aide.

He ran to the nearby residence of President Buhari’s cousin, Mamman Daura, where he reportedly spent the night.

Reacting in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday Fani-Kayode said, "Gunshots in the Villa over domestic issues? The President's wife and Personal Assistant are fighting? No-one can call either to order?

"The President has lost control of his home, his wife, his family, his staff, his official residence, his Government, his country, his memory and his mental faculties?

"Who has bewitched Nigeria? Who did this to us? Who is running our country? Who is really in charge? Where are we heading?

"A nation of 200 million people and this is the best we can do? What a shame! May God help us!
