Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe's resignation call and the stoning of President Muhammadu Buhari in line with the pledge he made while seeking votes from Nigerians prior to his victory in 2015, has sparked reaction from both the presidency and critics of the Buhari administration.
He said Buhari and the APC had told Nigerians to stone them if they fail and that “it is now time to pick stones to stone them” in view of their obvious failure.
Former Aviation Minister, Fani Kayode was impressed by Abaribe's courage for distinguishing himself from the other 'rubbers' in the Senate.
"A President that refuses to protect his people from k*ller herdsmen and bl**dthirsty terrorists ought to not only resign but also bury his head in shame.
"The Presidency's swify but ill-fated response was characteristically ill-conceived, ill-prepared, incoherent, illogical, irrational, feeble, childish and utterly predictable.
"When they refer to the Leader of the Minority in the Senate as an "armchair critic" you know they are truly cursed.
