JUST IN: Amazon shut down Parler's servers over Trump’s migration to the platform

Following President Donald Trump’s migration to Parler, an American microblogging and social networking service after Facebook and Twitter suspended his account indefinitely, the social media's servers will be shut down by Amazon from Sunday midnight.

Trump had moved to Parler on Thursday after Facebook and Twitter suspended his account indefinitely.

After joining the social network platform which prides itself as “the world’s premier free speech platform” focused on protecting user’s rights, Trump had over 2.4m followers within an hour.

The rapid growing popularity of the platform unsettles the rival tech giants as Google and Apple removed the app from their stores.

Amazon has also announced that it will be shutting down the servers of the Social Media platform from midnight Sunday.

The Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, said "it had suspended Parler from its Amazon Web Services (AWS) unit, for violating its terms of services by failing to effectively deal with a steady increase in violent content on the social networking service."

Parler's CEO John Matze announced the news, revealing it could leave the app unavailable for a week as the company attempts to rebuild from scratch.

Meanwhile, Trump had on Friday said he is considering other social media platforms and may even create his own media platform.

Trump stated this while accusing the tech giants of bias in favour of the liberals who are allowed to speak freely.

The tweet which was later deleted read "As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me — and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me," the president tweeted from the @Potus account instead of his personal @ReadDonaldTrump -- which he almost exclusively used before the ban.

"Twitter may be a private company," the president continued,"but without the government's gift of Section 230 they would not exist for long."

The president went on to say he had predicted his words would be censored. Conservatives have long been complaining that social media sites like Twitter are biased against them in favor of liberals.

"We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!"
