Breaking: Protesters to storm Buhari's residence in Daura, vow to stay till students are rescued

The Coalition of Northern Group says the President Muhammadu Buhari’s presence in Daura, provides the best opportunity to force something out of him following escalating security challenges in the State, and the recent abduction of over 300 students last week by armed men.

According to a report by PUNCH, the state chapters of CNG plans to trek to Daura in protest, and vow to not leave until the abducted children are rescued.

The group which plans to ride under the banner of the #Bringbackourboys campaign, said through its spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, that his members would storm the President’s residence today (Monday 14th).

He said, “Our state chapters are also embarking on a long trek to Daura in Katsina State to demand immediate action from Buhari who is currently in Daura.

“The Kano CNG will take off from Dambatta in solidarity with the Katsina chapter to link up with the Jigawa contingent at Kazaure from where they will join the Kano team at Mashi and proceed on the great trek to Daura for the long wait in front of Buhari’s country home.”
