President Muhammadu Buhari, and vice president Yemi Osinbajo |
There have been lots of concern among Nigerians about the Vice president's whereabouts in the past few weeks which sparked some form of conspiracy that he may have contracted COVID-19 or he has been sidelined in the country’s seat of power.
Laolu, in an Instagram post urged Nigerians to ignore fake claims regarding the whereabouts of President Buhari and the Vice President’s.
He recalled that the Vice President on Thursday met with the Governor of Central Bank, CBN, Kaduna State Governor, and some Ministers via video conferencing.
According to Laolu: “With my boss the Vice President last night in his office, reviewing some of the events of the week.
“By the way continue to ignore professional fake news conduits who share fictions about the whereabouts of the president and his Vice.
“For instance, on Thursday the VP held a videoconferencing meeting that included the governor of Kaduna, Power and Finance Ministers, the CBN governor and other government officials on how to expand electricity in the country.
Meanwhile, Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, on Friday advised the special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina “to quit the office if he could not manage Nigerians.”
The cleric's outburst was in reaction to Adesina's statement in a live broadcast with ‘Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire Programme’ wherehhe said nobody had authority to order President Buhari around.
"People think because either you elected a president or you didn't elect him, you must lead your president by the nose. It doesn't happen.
"Because you elected a man then you begin to order him around. The president would do whatever is good for the country any given time," Mr Adesina said in a one minute forty-five seconds video currently among the top twenty trends in Nigeria.
He said, “I watched the interview, and I can tell you that Mr. Adesina is not a good manager.
“We are citizens of Nigeria and everyone has the right to question president Buhari if he fails to address some burning issues.
“Mr. Adesina should learn from Olusegun Adeniyi and Reuben Abati.
“There is a way you talk to people to show respect for their persons. Adesina has no respect for Nigerians."
