President Muhammadu Buhari dressed in black suit. |
President Muhammadu Buhari would soon become history, so I made sure I share this poem to express my honest feelings about his government.
A Government To Be Forgotten
The Buhari regime, a time of dread,
For Nigerians, filled with pain and dread.
Their hopes and dreams, dashed to the ground,
Their voices silenced, without a sound.
The economy, in shambles it lay,
As the people struggled day by day.
The cost of living, too high to bear,
As poverty and hunger filled the air.
The security situation, a cause for concern,
As terrorism and banditry seemed to churn.
The people lived in constant fear,
Their lives and livelihoods, nowhere near.
The government, a symbol of corruption,
With scandals and graft, a regular disruption.
The masses left to suffer, without a say,
While the leaders feasted, day by day.
The youth, the future of the land,
Left to roam, without a helping hand.
Their dreams, crushed by a system unfair,
Their aspirations, met with despair.
Oh, Buhari government, how you've caused pain,
To Nigerians, who've borne the strain.
May your reign soon come to an end,
And may history, never be kind to you.
