He said that he cannot live in a country under the leadership of a man whose wealth is questionable and also a betrayer of the south-west region.
When asked on why he decided to challenge Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming Presidential election in 2023 he said: "It is a challenge. It would be the most illogical and most disruptive issue to have him (Tinubu) elected as President. If this happens, I will disown Nigeria to take the citizenship of Togo or any other country.
"Look, what this fellow did in my state, all the lies and the most painful thing was that on the day of the election (2019 election) two bullion vans drove in the daylight to his house and what did Prof Itse Sagay say, that he (Tinubu) had been a very wealthy man before. Where was he wealthy? If his (Sagay’s) conclusion was that, then something is wrong.
"Let us call a spade a spade and stop deceiving ourselves. So, if that is the way they want to do it, then I am ready to face him (Tinubu). Let us get out there because it would be the greatest disservice for our nation to have him contest as a presidential candidate.
On Tinubu being the pillar of APC and that people believe he can lead the country George said: "The APC to me is a congregation of strange bird fellows and you can see the effect. Nobody is talking for the party or the government, all you hear are a cacophony of voices and that is why the party is not working. So, if Tinubu is one of the leaders of the party, it means it is not working.
He said the APC has attracted many political sinners by assuring them of forgiveness once they join the party.
"The party has been saying all those that have sinned before should come to the APC and their sins would be forgiven. So, it (APC) is a congregation of sinful people.
"What is required in Nigeria is the provision of food, shelter, and good infrastructure, but the APC is now very far from providing that. Whether you are a rich or a poor man, we all fall into the same category and it is scary," he said.
George has during an appearance on Arise News’ ‘The Morning Show’ anchored by Dr. Reuben Abati, Tundun Abiola and Rufai Oseni, also said he has evidence to nail Tinubu, and is not ready to accept a corrupt clown as his head.
Warned that he could be sued by Tinubu for defamation, George said, “Let us go to court so we both will be talking under oath. I am saying these allegations we have documents. EFCC has been investigating.
“The former managing director of Alpha Beta himself stated black and white how they have been siphoning the money of the Lagos state treasury…let him take me to court.
“We will go there, I will say my own and the papers will be there and let him defend himself. First of all, we want the original certificate of the University he claims he attended and exactly what is his own real name.
“Look, you want to get a clown to be your head, what you would breed would be a pool of clowns. We need people and there are people in this country. I am ready if he wants to take me to court.
“Bola Tinubu is an ‘Emperor’, God bless you if you are not part of his own line. You know what happened in the last election. Have you ever heard anywhere in the world where you have a bullion van on the day of election?
“Were they carrying food to his house? He was not arrested, he was not cocooned, he was not containerised and taken to the cooler.
“These are not things he had done in the dark..openly. So, why are you saying Bode George is this and all that, it is absolute nonsense,”
