Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the victory of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, David Lyon, over the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Duoye Diri.
David Lyon, the candidate of the the APC, had secured the highest number of votes in the Bayelsa governorship election to defeat Douye Diri, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The APC candidate polled 352,552 while PDP candidate also secured 143,170 votes, leaving a margin of 209,382.
Reacting on his official twitter handle on Monday, Keyamo mocked the opposition party saying despite their campaign of calumny against the APC in the state yet they lose.
He tweeted, "Congratulations, my brother. We have broken through the glass ceiling as far as APC’s incursion into the core Niger-Delta States is concerned.
"The campaign of calumny by the leaders of the opposition in the zone against the APC is beginning to collapse like a pack of cards.
