Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement in South Africa where he blame the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians.
President Buhari had left Nigeria for South Africa on Wednesday for a state visit.
Speaking on the xenophobic attacks, Buhari advised Nigerians to always behave like their host communities for the sake of peace.
But reacting on his official twitter handle, Omokri wonder if Nigerians refusal to behave like the South Africans could be a guarantee for the attacks.
He said, "Watch as General @MBuhari blames Nigerians for South Africa’s xenophobic attacks, telling Nigerians “when you are in Rome you do as Romans do”. Is refusal to act like South Africans the reason for the attacks?
