PEPT Ruling: Nigeria is in Buhari's pocket — Fani Kayode laments woeful ruling

Fani Kayode said he's not surprised by Tribunal's ruling.
This is how much Nigerians have lost confidence in the judiciary; from the very moment Atiku decided to challenge Buhari's victory in court, many have tagged his decision as a "lost cause."

The opinions weren't any different when the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal set today Wednesday 11, 2019, as the final day to pass judgment on Atiku's petition against the president. A good number of Nigerians say it would be a miracle if judgment goes Atiku's way despite having a good case to guarantee him victory.

Now, as many had expected, the judgment has gone the President's way leaving Nigerians to wonder where the country is headed under a judiciary which based on its handling of the petition against president Buhari, is said to have failed to appreciate its independence.

Former aviation minister in his own reaction to the recent ruling by the Tribunal, said those surprised by the ruling, obviously lack understanding of the gravity of the situation the country is dealing with. He said president Buhari not only rigged the last election, but is also in control of the three arms of government.

He said, "If anyone is surprised by today's ruling in the Atiku/Buhari case then they still don't understand the nature of the beast we are fighting and the gravity of the situation we are in.They didn't just rig the election, they rigged the courts too! They control ALL 3 arms of Govt!"
