Even South Africans know we have a weak and confused government — Sani

Senator Shehu Sani faults Buhari's decision to send Envoys to South Africa.
What would you have done differently if you were the President of a country whose citizens are being harassed, molested, and humiliated in a country you stood for during their struggles for independence?

The lamentations seem to be far from over despite the Buhari administration taking steps to end the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa. From those who accused the president of timidity, to those who think the president would not have been hesitant if cows were involved.

It certainly isn't easy becoming a president at a time like this. Not even boycotting the World Economic Forum in South Africa was enough. The President's political party has joined critics in demanding for stiffer action against the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians by nationalizing South African companies in the country. But former Senator Shehu Sani seem to have issues with Buhari's decision to send Envoy to meet with the South African President.

He said sending an Envoy to South Africa is shear weakness on the part of the Nigerian government. He said being the aggrieved, the South African government should be the ones paying Buhari a visit as a sign of respect and concern over the humiliation Nigerians are subjected to from their fellow Africans.
He said, "Its wrong for the FG to send an envoy to the South African Government. The bereaved or the aggrieved should be visited and not the reverse."

Well sorry Mr Senator, the South African government seem more concerned about the safety of their citizens and properties here in Nigeria instead.
