Hundreds of Undergraduates from Usman Dan Fodio University (UDUS) Sokoto staged a protest in support of RUGA establishment across the 36 states of the federation to end the menace of the farmer-herder conflicts bedeviling the nation.
The undergraduate students were Reported by Viralmula.Com on the major highways of Sokoto metropolis today holding placards with various inscription in Hausa, Fulfulde and English calling for the establishment of the RUGA initiative
Recall that the federal government had proposed the idea of establishing Ruga across the country as a means of addressing the incessant clashes between cattle rearers and farmers but it was suspended following public outcry against it.
It was alleged that the federal government initiative was a move to fulanize and Islamize Nigeria under the disguise of RUGA establishment.
