The summer transfer window is still fresh and as you'd expect, the rumors are in full swing. One of many players whose futures in their respective clubs had been in doubt, is Manchester United and Belgium's striker Romelu Lukaku who has been the Red Devil's main attacking force since his move from Everton two seasons ago.

Lukaku despite enjoying a successful first season at United, endured a difficult season last time out where he struggled to make an impact as united were condemned to Europa League with a Sixth place finish last season. But while the season was still on, there has been rumors linking Lukaku with an exit for a spell in the Italian Serie A with Inter Milan being the likely destination.

Well, Inter won replaced former boss Spalletti with Antonio Conte have seen their bid to land the Belgium star reportedly rejected. The offer made by Inter is believed to be cash plus Ivan Perisić.

New Inter boss Antonio Conte has been a long-term admirer of the Belgian striker, and is eager to bring him to San Siro this summer. However, United’s €70m valuation is something of a stumbling block to the Italian side, who are now looking at more creative ways of getting their man.

According to The Sun, the proposal of cash plus Perisić was turned down because United are no longer interested in the winger, having eagerly pursued his services in January.

It’s claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would be interested in cash plus player, but only if that player is either Milan Å kriniar or Mauro Icardi.
