The leader of the Yoruba socio-culture group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, has said the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, may not have the dollars Bola Tinubu of (APC), and Atiku Abubakar (PDP) have, but he has something much more.
Adebanjo who made the statement in an interview with Daily Sun, said the era of Naira politics is gone, and that the baggages Tinubu and Atiku are carrying into the next presidential election, will only lead to their defeats.
He however, praised Peter Obi for being a man of principle, saying he has what it takes to become the next president.
Adebanjo said, “I am talking of politics of principle. I know that Peter has not got the dollar of Tinubu nor has he got the dollar of Atiku.
“All I am saying is that he is better than the two other candidates. And I am not talking of the baggage Tinubu or Atiku may be carrying now.”
“I am talking about the principle of fairness and justice. The moment you deviate from the politics of principle in this country, you won’t get anywhere,” he told Sun.
