VIDEO: Tinubu's boys at work — Reaction trails snatching of INEC machines in Lagos by thugs

Bola Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

"It has begun" was the reaction following report that armed thugs on Friday, disrupted the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Ijesha, Surulere area of Lagos State.

The thugs reportedly carted away with the Continuous Voter Registration machines with less than 72 hours left before the CVR’s closure by INEC. Motive behind the move isn't clear, but eyewitness claim is aimed at systematically disenfranchising many who are yet to complete the registration process.

Others however, claim the stolen machines could be used to influence the outcome of the election in favor of whoever the thugs are working for.

According to an eyewitness who identified herself as Dr. Ambassador Princess Okojie Igbemudia, the thugs stormed the church and disrupted the exercise because those registering will vote for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

In reaction to the news, Abdulazeez Bin Saidu said, "Tinubu is doing what he is known for. Well done work Bishop casava."

Felix Eze called on INEC to extend the exercise, "INEC please extend the registration in this church with adequate security to avoid defrenchisiing eligible voters. Please we must get it right this time."

Simon Ibeawuchi said, "BAT and his men in action. The fear of Obi dient is the beginning fine tuning Nigeria government and politics."

William David said, "So next year there will be snatching of election machines, not ballot boxes anymore. Nigeria!"

Meanwhile following the incident, the Parish Priest reportedly locked up the church while people scampered for safety.

It was also learnt that the police had been deployed to the area to ensure peace and order.
