Unknown gunmen have attacked Te’egbe community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing an unspecified number of residents.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Friday morning when the assailants stormed the community with sophisticated weapons.
According to Daily Post, an eyewitness who hails from the community said about 10 bodies have been recovered while scores are still missing.
However, when contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ubah Gabriel confirmed the attack.
According to him, the Commissioner of Police is at the scene to assess the damages done during the attack.
He said, “We are aware of the incident, the Commissioner of Police is currently there, details will be communicated to you shortly. I will release a press statement”.
