Not all Fulanis are terrorists, not all IPOB members are unknown gunmen, says Fani-Kayode, Igbos fumes

Former Minister of Aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has come under fire for linking the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB to unknown gunmen wrecking havoc in the South East.

The PDP chieftain had in a tweet on Saturday called on Nigerians to accept the fact that not all Fulanis are terrorists and not all IPOB members are unknown gunmen. According to him, that "will go a long way in paving the way for peace talks between the FG & IPOB."

He said, "1. Not all Fulanis are terrorists & not all terrorists are Fulani.

"2. Not all Igbos are IPOB & not all IPOB members are "unkown gunmen".

"An appreciation, acceptance & understanding of these two FACTS will go a long way in paving the way for peace talks between the FG & IPOB."

But his statement did not go down well as most Nigerians from the South East region disagreed with him for linking the IPOB with unknown gunmen, demanding an apology from him.

Below are their reactions:

@Chalobi1, "Every Igbos are Ipob Every Biafras are Ipob And Ipob are not unknown gunmen sir better understanding"

@ElochukwuOhagi, "No IPOB member is an Unknown Gun men. IPOB is not violent.

@Ziddy04, "We don’t need negotiation with FG because you can’t negotiate with the people that hates you because you want us to be in Nigeria! Let them go with negotiation. Give us Referendum or we burst everywhere the agenda of Nigeria has pass and gone long time ago."

@skyprince1980, "No Ipob member is an unknown gunmen please we need an apologies from over this tweet"

@kene_aninwede, "Every Igbo person is an indeginous person of Biafra ie IPOB.

No IPOB is an unknown gun man.

An appreciation, acceptance and understanding of these two facts will go a long way in paving the way for peace talks between FG and IPOB."
