Just In: Al-Mustapha is right — Fani-Kayode reacts

Former Aviation Minister and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Femi Fani Kayode, has supported claim by former Chief Security Officer (COS), of late head of state, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, saying both Abacha and Chief MKO Abiola, died in a similar manner, therefore suggesting the deaths of the duo, might be the doings of same culprits.

Al-Mustapha had in a recent interview with the LEADERSHIP, said there are secrets he may not be able to disclose at the moment due to its sensitive nature, but did say Abacha died the same way Abiola died.

He said there are questions he's been asking which puts his life in danger because those who knew what they did back in the days, could shoot anyone who dared to expose them.

He said, "The moment you ask that, there are some certain groups that are ready to shoot you."

"When General Abacha died, the way he died foaming and gasping for air, and with a swollen heart was exactly how Abiola died too. And you know what took me to prison? Let me for the first time tell you this: the question that took me to prison, with all the attempts to kill me, was where was the tape?" he added.

Speaking via a post shared on his Facebook page, Kayode said the deaths of both Abacha and Abiola were the doings of the CIA, in cohort with certain individuals from the country.

He said, "General Sani Abacha was killed by one of late Yasser Ararat's bodyguards. He administered poison to him through a handshake. This was done at the behest of the CIA.

"Two former Nigerian Heads of State and a former Head of Military Intelligence who are also CIA agents knew about the plan.

"The same people decided that Chief MKO Abiola had to be killed as well in order to balance the equation. The CIA, through Susan Rice and Ambasador Pickering, did the rest. Nigerians please know your history and find out the truth.

"Stop accepting the lies that are fed to you and stop brushing evil under the carpet. Neither Abacha nor Abiola deserved to be murdered even if we did not all agree with either or both of them.

"The CIA has no friends and there is nothing more despicable than working for a foreign intelligence agency against your own people and nation."
