Ebonyi: You are the worst governor in Igbo land — Group gives Umahi 3 weeks to resign

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, has been described as the 'most dangerous' in Igbo land, and given a maximum of three weeks to resign as governor over allege role in the killings of his own people by Fulani herders in the state.

The group which identified itself as Igbo National Council (INC) Worldwide, gave the ultimatum on Thursday in a press statement by its National President, Chilos Godsent.

The group which accused Governor Umahi of conspiring with killer Fulani herders against armless Ebonyi citizens, said the Governor’s actions in recent times, were indicative of his support for the Jihadist killer herdsmen.

According to the group, while many Southern and North central states governors vehemently rejected the proposed obnoxious RUGA project in a bid to protect their citizens, Engr. David Umahi was busy ceding huge acres of lands of Ebonyi State to the Fulani for their settlement in exchange to win their support for his 2023 Presidential ambition.

“Governor David Umahi is the most dangerous among all the Governors in the history of Igbo nation, because he has the tendency to betray his people at any slightest opportunity.

“We must do everything within our powers to bring Governor Umahi to book now or after his tenure as governor. He is an enemy of Ndigbo.

“We call on the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to immediately commence the impeachment of Governor David Umahi if he fails to voluntarily resign after twenty-one days from 2nd April, 2021, so as to stop him from bringing more shame to Ebonyi people,” the group said.

Meanwhile, another attack reportedly took place in the State on Thursday, as yet to be identified armed men in military uniforms, stormed Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo Community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and abducted the village Head, Deacon John Ulebe Nnaji of Oshiagu Amia Ngbo.

Beside the village head, four others were equally abducted at about 2:00 pm on April 1st 2021.

The gunmen who came on motorbikes in their numbers left many persons injured before leaving the affected Community.

According to a report by Vanguard, an eye witness in the area, said they were relaxing at their village square when the gunmen stormed the village in a commando-like fashion and abducted their victims.

“On arrival, the gunmen were seen putting on military uniforms as bike carried three persons. They felt relaxed when saw them, thinking that they were military men on special duty considering the crisis in Effium Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

“We were still at the village square taking fresh air and discussing when we suddenly started hearing gunshot everywhere in the village and people started running to take cover.”
