Northern farmers counting huge loses over food blockade to South

The Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria across the Northern part of the Nigeria resolved to divert their goods and all consumables to the neigbouring countries of Niger Republic and Cameroon as of the South sending away criminal Fulani bandits and herdsmen.

The unions started blocking trade routes to the South by stopping food item-laden trucks from going south.

However, the traders are crying as they have no market across the country and their goods are spoiling fast.

"Most of our perishable foodstuff have spoiled because even the countries that we are moving the goods to have the items", traders complained

"So, what happens is that when we get there, they won't buy most of the foodstuff till we will just dash them or dump them there."

"We need stop this blockage and see ourselves as one. There is no difference between an Igbo man, Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani if we our leaders can unite us" they concluded. - Hope For Nigeria.

Meanwhile, former Minister of Aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, had said the southern part of the country will also block oil supply to the North if the region block food supply to the south.</p>

But reacting on his official Facebook page on Saturday Fani-Kayode said "If the north blocks food supplies to the south, the south will block the supply of oil, refined products and oil money to the north."

"You touch me, I touch you!
