US Vice President, Mike Pence, has masterfully refused to yield to the demand of House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, who alongside other lawmakers, have made it a priority to remove President Donald Trump from office either through the 25th Amendment or a second Impeachment, should the former fails to materialize.
In a letter sent to the Speaker, Pence referred to a legislation introduced by Pelosi last year, for the creation of 25th Ammendment Commission. He said according to the legislation, when determining whether or not a President is fit to run his office, care must be taken to be "respectful of not making a judgment on the basis of a comment or behavior that we don’t like, but based on a medical decision."
This morning, @SenSchumer and I placed a call to Vice President Pence to urge him to invoke the 25th Amendment which would allow the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to remove the President. We have not yet heard back from the Vice President.

"Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exert power beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election," Pence said to the speaker in the letter.
"And I will not now yield to efforts in the House of Representatives to play political games at a time so serious in the life of our nation."
"Just a few months ago, when you introduced legislation to create a 25th Amendment Commission, you said, [a] President’s fitness for office must be determined by science and facts'," Pence wrote.
"You said that we must be very respectful of not making a judgment on the basis of a comment or behavior that we don’t like, but based on a medical decision.
"Madam Speaker you were right," the vice president added.
Trump has committed an assault on our nation and our people.

Pence must remove him and invoke the 25th amendment. If they fail to act, we may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.
Justice will be done to those who carried out these acts of sedition and cowardice. -NP pic.twitter.com/NG6bJLts2l
Pence urged her to reconsider pushing forward with actions that he believes would further "divide and inflame the passions of the moment."
