INSECURITY: We missed a Commander in Chief Goodluck Jonathan — Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode
Former Minister of Aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that Nigerians have missed a President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Goodluck Jonathan, who knew what to do against terrorists in the country.

Fani-Kayode stated this in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday.

He said, "When we had a President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces who knew what to do against the terrorists and who liberated Baga. After he left and up until today Baga is back in the hands of Boko Haram."

"We love and miss you President Goodluck Jonathan."

There have been rising cases of insecurity in the country since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in 2015. The situation seems to be getting worse as governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum narrowly escaped Boko Haram ambush last weekend.

Although the governor accused Nigerian soldiers of being responsible for the attack on his convoy.

He insisted that it was not Boko Haram insurgents that attacked his convoy.

Speaking a day after the attack in Channels Television on Monday, Mr Zulum said what happened to him was a complete sabotage from the military.

“It is a complete sabotage… I cannot end my interview without clearly stating what happened yesterday. As far as I am concerned, there was no Boko Haram yesterday (Wednesday). It was a serious shooting by the Nigerian armed forces while ‘residing’ in Baga. The situation is very embarrassing.”
