Oshiomhole's running mouth has finished Ize-Iyamu already — Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has already destroyed Ize-Iyamu’s chances of becoming Government because he runs his mouth anyhow.

Wike said with all the terrible things Oshiomhole told Edo people about Ize-Iyamu, prior to the State's last governorship election, it is clear that Obaseki's second term is already in the bag.

Speaking as a guest on a Live Television Programme today, Governor Wike said that the people of Edo State already know the type of candidate the All Progressives Congress (APC) is presenting going by what Adams Oshiomhole said of him four years ago.

“Adams Oshiomhole told Edo people that Ize Iyamu was rusticated from school; that he poured acid on a fellow student that destroyed his manhood. That he is an armed robber that cannot be trusted with money.

“Such a character cannot be accepted by Edo people as governor during the election.

“I respect the Benin tradition and I know that Edo people are educated to know that Oshiomhole cannot play on their intelligence. If he is now retracting what he said of Ize Iyamu, who is sure that he’s saying the correct thing now.

“Adams Oshiomole’s sudden u- turn is a great insult on Edo people. This is an opportunity for Edo people both at home and in the diaspora to use their votes to tell Oshiomhole they cannot take his lies anymore.

“From all indications, it is obvious that there is no strong opposition against Obaseki and he will win convincingly”, he said.

Oshiomhole however, remains confident that he has the influential power to correct the mistake he made by helping Obaseki become Governor in 2016, and that he's not going anywhere until his mission is accomplished.

Oshiomhole while addressing party faithful and supporters at a welcome home rally at Iyamho in Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, told the crowd that his immediate task now is to ensure victory for the party on September 19.

“I have come home for only one project, I am not going back to Abuja until the project is completed. I came back home not to rest, but to work. We are political lions, we must commit ourselves to returning Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to Osadebe Avenue," he said.
