Suspended EFCC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, has undoubtedly stepped on many high profile toes for the past five years of his acting role at the anti-graft commission. And as time would make it, these fat toes are now screaming 'karma' from the rooftop of their various abodes.
Some described the Kanuri man's ordeal as a case of the hunter himself, being hunted. But who exactly, is hunting the hunter and for what purpose, is a question only time will answer.
He said what's more painful, is the fact that since his arrest on July 6th, he remains unaware of the charges against him, and that the committee investigating him are doing some funny things behind his back, which he finds uncomfortable.
Speaking through his lawyer, Wahab Shittu, in a letter directed to the investigative committee on Friday, Magu expressed discomfort with his continued detention at the FCID “without being informed of the allegations against him and the deserved opportunity to timeously study and respond to same.”
Magu's complaints has generated reactions especially his complaint of being treated as a 'common criminal'.
Chuks Onuchukwu who is one of hundreds of our page followers to react to the news via comments, said the country may be infested with common criminals, he however, said the uncommon ones are the actual problems in the country and called for them to desist so that things would be better for all.
Meanwhile, Senator Shehu Sani in his reaction to Magu's ordeal, made mockery of the suspended Chairman saying he was looking for "corruption in Ghana while sitting on Ghana-must-go".
He said: “EFCC embattled chairman’s arrest and probe is a commendable step by the PMB administration and the AGF Malami.
