Edo Election: PDP showcase Obaseki's achievements, says 'he's working'

In a pure case of no permanent enemy but permanent interest in politics, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has taken to its official Facebook page to lavish praise on Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for his outstanding performance.

Until Obaseki's defection to the PDP, he was largely seen as anonymous and is nowhere recognized among the best performing Governors in the country.


Obaseki who is now the flag bearer of the PDP, in the September 19 Edo State governorship election, has since settled down in his new party, and is enjoying the full support of the party ahead of Edo governorship poll.

Showcasing some of Obaseki's achievements, the PDP posted photos of Edo State's infectious Diseases isolation center it said was "built and equipped" by the Obaseki government.




The party even used the hashtag #ObasekiIsWorking, to promote the governor.


The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has in a congratulatory message to Governor Godwin Obaseki, vowed to rally around him and ensure his victory in the coming governorship election in the State.

The chairman of the BoT, Senator Walid Jibrin, also urged the various party organs to avoid pre election bickering that could cost the PDP the state.



He said, “On behalf of the BoT members, who serve as conscience of the party, I wish to sincerely congratulate first the entire people of Edo state, especially members of our party who encouraged Governor Obaseki to quickly move to PDP.

“My biggest congratulations to Governor Obaseki who quickly understood the APC’s dirty game in their effort to mock and disgrace him.
