Recall that the Fulani group reportedly established its security outfit called ‘Miyetti Allah Vigilante’ to operate nationwide.
The Benue State Government made its position known in a statement signed by Terver Akase, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Samuel Ortom and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Thursday, vowing to stop the outfit from operating in the state.
The state government further alleged that the group planned to use the outfit to further their ‘nefarious’ activities across the country.
The statement read in part: “As much as we do not have any problem with Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore floating a security outfit in other states, it is important to say that such a vigilante group will not operate in Benue State. Miyetti Allah has no constitutional right to establish a nationwide security outfit.
