This resignation letter from ward 7 Etsako East Edo State, is absolutely one of a kind

The disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, over fake certificate, has resulted in an uncommon drama in the APC, and one of the finest 'political' resignation letters you'll ever see, in your lifetime, perhaps.

A resignation letter shared by Comrade Deji Adeyanju, a Human Rights Activists, and Convener of Concerned Nigerians Movement, has left Nigerians dumbfounded, and wondering how joke of a party the APC has become.

The letter which is credited to Engr Akemokue Lukman, from Etsako East, and addressed to the Ward 7 Chairman of the APC, Afokpella-Okpella, first of all, inquired whether the ward Chairman was aware of Obaseki's resignation from the APC, and secondly, hilariously said, "OK, take your broom, I no do again."

Obaseki has said following his disqualification, that he would not challenge his disqualification from the exercise.

It was also gathered that the governor will be moving into the PDP with all the 18 local government chairmen in Edo State together with 12 lawmakers in the State Assembly.

This one of a kind resignation letter could be a confirmation that Governor Obaseki has strong support from members of the APC in Edo State who are very well in line to jump ship alongside him.

Obaseki has yesterday, June 16th, resigned from the APC, and the opposition party PDP said it would welcome the governor with open arms, although won't guarantee him an automatic ticket for the upcoming Edo State governorship election.
