President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the kiIIings of 'innocent people' by Boko Haram and Islam in West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Gubio village, Borno State.
The President in a statement through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, described the kiIIings as one of the most brutaI te*rorist attacks on innocent people in the North East.
Shehu said, "As news of one of the most brutal te*rorist attacks on innocent people emerged from the Northeast, President Muhammadu Buhari said he is deeply shocked by the brutal kiIIing of tens of people by the Boko Haram/Islam in West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Gubio village, Borno State.

In condemning the incident, President Buhari charged the armed forces to sustain their recent string of successes against the terrorists to extract a heavy price from the attackers, and bring back all those they kidnapped as well as the large number of cattle rustled.— Garba Shehu (@GarShehu) June 10, 2020

The general made the disclosure while briefing reporters on the activities of the Nigeria Army on the security situation in the country after meeting with the President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said, "The troops are putting in their best and that has resulted in the tremendous successes we are recording. The fight is still ongoing and over 1,429 of this Boko Haram ter*orists have been neutralised and we have arrested over 166 Boko Haram ter*orist informants, their spies, couriers on logistics and their coordinators in the villages, the towns and even the forest.
