Buhari's supporters in the North are still burning their brooms

It is a case of too little too late, but aggrieved Buhari supporters in the North, believe it is not too late to set their brooms ablaze as a show of disapproval and repentance for voting in a government they had thought would ease their burdens.

National Pivot has previously reported that the President's supporters in his home state of Katsina, have been vandalizing whatever that was used by the APC and Buhari, to trick them into throwing their weights behind the president both in 2015 and 2019.

Mahi Tijani who was among millions of Buhari's base in the North, has recently said the president has betrayed their trust and love for him, by pursuing policies without the poor who voted him, in mind, and the President's failure in addressing the growing security challenges facing the region.

He said, "Mr President we loved you and voted you in with our tears and blood. Sincerely speaking, we the masses are not happy with the way things are working in this country.

"We thought you were the Messiah or the savior, but it seems like we were wrong. Our dream is to have a better life and nothing else, but life is getting harder day by day under your regime."

Another staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Mohammed, said he has been foolish all along for being "a dıehard supporter" of the president for years.

He said, "I have been a dıehard supporter of Muhammad Buhari ever since he started contesting election. I have never seen him face to face. I only see him on TV and his posters, not to talk of shaking hands with him. I have never tried to see him and i am not worried.

"I have always been voting for him and defending my vote until counted and recorded, not because i want anything from him. I do what i did because i see him as an honest person who can lead us to where we want to be.

"But now, i am beginning to agree with you that i have been foolish all along. Five years into his administration, the problems of boko haram have subsided and also resurfaced. The insecurity related to bandits, kıd*nappers, cuItists, rap*sts, communal clashes, etc have escalated.

"Unless he wakes up to do something urgently towards controlling the devastating insecurity in the country, my frustrations and regrets will continue raising my BP."

Most recently, is the lamentation of Murtala Abubakar Ibrahim in a Facebook group 'APC AGENDA' over the cost of food stuff in the country.

Ibrahim said he spent N600 on tomato he described as 'scrap' despite Buhari's claims that his administration has done remarkably well in the area of Agriculture.

Ibrahim said, "I bought this tomato(scrap)#600 this morning. You are here disturbing people buhari is promoting farming...For where?"

Buhari will not be contesting in 2023, so their anger will probably do no good. However, if they do learnt something at all, from their past mistakes, their vote pattern in 2023, is sure to change.
