APC Crisis: It is over for Tinubu — Fani Kayode reacts to Buhari's support for Giadom

The crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken a huge twist, as it is believed at least, according to former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, that the whole show was meant to kick the National Leader of the party, Ahmed Tinubu, out of the APC.

According to Fani Kayode, Buhari's decision to recognize Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman of the APC, is a clear message that it is politically over for Tinubu in the APC.

Kayode in a Facebook post on facebook, wrote, "First Oshiomole is kicked out by the Court of Appeal. Then his preferred replacement, Ajimobi, falls into a coma. Then his arch rival, Giadom, is recognised by Buhari as Acting National Chairman.

"Conclusion: it is over for Tinubu. He has been thrown under the bus and retired from politics!"

Tinubu's place in the APC has been a huge subject of political discourse right from the very moment he was given the position as the national leader of the party, a position said to have never existed, but was created to accommodate Tinubu due to the role he played in Buhari's emergence as President in 2015.

It remains to be seen where things go from here, especially with eyes set on the coming 2023 elections, where the North has clearly said it is not backing down for any region to produce the next president.
