| Mu’azu Magaji |
Magaji was sacked by the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, in April over unguarded utterances against the demise of Abba Kyari, the late chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
"There is a world of difference between a good person and a good leader.. Leadership is an aggregated quality of mass empathy not personal favour!
"Nigeria is bigger than any individual... While praying for the presidents late support staff.. Ours is to prevent a repeat of his non accountable domination era!
"In institutional democracy no individual is bigger than the state... Our interest is to get equity and capacity in highest position of power.. Its not personal.
But Magaji later apologised for the statement, saying he was misunderstood and never intended to celebrate the death of the late chief of staff.
“Salam brothers and sisters I have been down for some days now, NCDC protocol activated. Need your prayers,” he said.
“This morning my NCDC test is out. I have been confirmed Covid-19 Positive. And have been moved to one of the state facilities…pray for us!
