COVID-19: If you feel pains in your stomach don't call NCDC, asks your neighbour first if he get garri — Sen Sani advises Nigerians

Former senator Shehu Sani, Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the national assembly, has jokingly advised Nigerians not to rush and call the Nigerian Central for Disease Control (NCDC) if they feel symptoms of pains in their stomachs and their body is shaking, that they should rather ask their neighbours if they have gari.


The former lawmaker gave the advice in a tweet on Monday. Although he did not disclose the reason behind his advice but it is not unconnected with the daily increase in the number of COVID-19 case in the country.

Meanwhile, The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday confirmed five new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

NCDC, in a tweet on its official Twitter page, disclosed that the confirmed cases were 2 in Lagos, 2 in Kwara and 1 in Katsina.

Five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:

2 in Lagos
2 in Kwara
1 in Katsina

As at 09:10 pm 12th April there are 323 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 85 have been discharged with 10 deaths

This now brings the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 323.
