President Muhammadu Buhari’s old buddy who was the Convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), and as well, a serving overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja on what could be related to 2023 presidential election.
Bakare refused to speak on the outcome of his meeting when approached by State House correspondents.
Now that Buhari is set give way at the end of his second term in 2023, a handful of political heavyweights in the APC, are already working behind the scenes to succeed the man from Daura, assuming the so called third term bid by Buhari remains merely a speculation.
Among these political megalomaniacs in the APC, is Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is the National Leader of the APC, and an influential political figure in the Southwest.
Should Bakare decides to run for president, he'd definitely have mountains to climb unless the likes of Tinubu for some reasons, opt out of the race — a very unlikely scenario of course.
“You can’t drive now anymore because what is meant for road has been stolen since democracy began, they (politicians) are living larger than life having jets here, having jets there, having house in Bourdillon, having house in this place, having house in that place, having house in every place at the expense of the public," Bakare said.
