No matter how angry Kaduna train commuters are, none is bold enough to hit the road — Sani

Who would have thought that kidnapping would turned out to become an household name in Nigeria especially under a government which promised to combat Boko-Haram to a standstill?

Well, the reality before us all is quite telling. Nigerians simply do not feel any more safer than they were before Buhari succeeded Jonathan in 2015. As a matter of fact, the sad and pathetic state of security in the country is so disheartening that its been turn into a joke by all who had expected the current administration to have done better.

As things currently stand, an average Nigerian is unsure of the next minute. Living in fear of the unknown is now the new order. Besides, even the Nigerian military had said in a recent statement that going spiritual is now the way to go in its battle against insecurity in the country. Therefore, woe unti them who rely on Buhari for their safety!

It may sound sarcastic, but it really is this serious! Traveling in Kaduna by rail is now considered the safest way to commute. You need to see the long cue and struggle for tickets at the rail station to understand the severity of insecurity along Nigerian roads.

Senator Shehu Sani in a recent Twitter post put the situation in a better perspective when said the fear of being kidnapped is so real that no matter how angry passengers are due to train delays, none would be courageous enough to hit the road as an alternative.

He said, "When the Kaduna Abuja train delays, you will see people angry and shouting to the top of their voices, yet no one will just get angry, disembark from the train and hit the road."

The recent abduction of a Federal High Court Judge alongside his driver is yet another high profile abduction in the country. None is safe, not even security operatives.

In his reaction to the abduction of the Federal High Court Judge, Justice Abdul Dogo, Fani Kayode said, “A Federal High Court Judge has been kidnapped in Nigeria? Wow a Federal High Court judge?
