Kano Lion: Even animals in the zoo knew Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture lied — Sani

Reaction continue to trail Nigeria's Agricultural Minister, Sabo Nanono's recent claim that there's no hunger in the country and that a N30 food in Kano can be eaten to satisfaction.

The Agric Minister had said, “When people talk about hunger I laugh because they do not know hunger. If you go to other countries you will see what hunger is.

“Food in Nigeria is fairly cheap compared to other countries. In kano for instance, you can eat N30 worth of food and be satisfied. So, we should be thankful that we can feed ourselves and we have relatively cheap food in this country,” he said.

National Pivot previously reported that a man in Kano ran himself into trouble when he payed N30 for a plate of food he bought in an attempt to verify the Agric Minister's "cheap food" statement.

While Kano State is by no means a Nigerian version of the state of Florida in the United States — a State believe to be home to some of the world's strangest things, it does however, appears that recent happenings in Kano excluding the the popular Gandollar meme, is turning the state into just that.

Now, a recent report of a captured lion which had escaped from a Kano zoo on Saturday night, has once again, made sure Kano State made it to the news. And as expected, the likes of Senator Shehu Sani made sure to relate the incident to the statement made by the agricultural Minister.

The former Kaduna State Senator via his usual Twitter account, spun the incident saying sarcastically, that the Kano Lion may have been infuriated by Nanono's claim and had to break out of the zoo to confront the Minister.

He said, "The Kano Lion was angered by the 30 Naira and hunger statement of the Agric minister and then went looking for him."

Well, it seem even captured animals kept in zoos across the country disagree with the "no hunger in the country" statement made by the Agric minister.
