Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has said that he has forgiven Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the #RevolutionNowMovement and Publisher of Sahara Reporters for whatever wrong he has done to him.
He said that he is ready to make a generous donation as his own support to ensure that the activist regain his freedom from detention.
Sowore had been in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since August 3 when he was arrested in Lagos.
His counsel, Femi Falana, had approached the court seeking a variation to the previous bail conditions which he said could not be met.
However, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, the judge presiding over the case, says she is concerned that the activist has not meet the bail conditions granted to him.
In a tweet on his verified twitter handle on Saturday, Omokri urged Nigerians to support the call for his release.
He tweeted, "I put aside everything Omoyele Sowore did to me. I forgive him today. I call on Nigerians to rally round him. I urge his wife to start a
@gofundme and I promise to make a generous donation. Let us get him out of jail!
