A faith columnist, Femi Aribisala, has described Nigeria as a "terrible joke" following tribunal judgement affirming the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari over Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday.
The presidential election tribunal had declared that Buhari was “eminently qualified” to contest the 2019 presidential election. It also ruled that the petitioners failed to prove that INEC transmitted results electronically. It also ruled that there was nothing wrong with Buhari’s names as contained in the two different Cambridge results.
But reacting on his official twitter handle, Aribisala said anybody who does not have a WAEC certificate can now obtain it at the presidential election tribunal, describing it as a shame to the country.
He said, "Now we know that the presidential elections petition tribunal can award a WAEC certificate to a man with none. Nigeria is a terrible joke
