Atiku yet to appeal Tribunal's judgment, received party BoT in Dubai

It is over a week since Presidential Election Petition Tribunal's ruling shook Nigeria's opposition party, the PDP, who prior to the ruling, had thought justice would be done to its petition against the emergence of Buhari as winner of the last presidential election.

While the ruling is still very fresh in the memories of Nigerians, the PDP who after PEPT's ruling, decided to head to the Supreme Court for a redress, has been up and doing to ensure its last shot at seeking justice does not end up in flames like it did at the Tribunal.

According to a report by Daily Trust citing "impeccable sources in Abuja", leaders of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Senators Walid Jibrin, Adolphus Wabara, and a few other members of the board, reportedly met with Atiku Abubakar, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to discuss issues relating to the Nation's political atmosphere and the judiciary.

Daily Trust reports that Senator Jibrin "confirmed to its correspondent in a telephone interview, yesterday," that leaders of the BoT did met with its Presidential candidate in the February 23rd presidential election.

The report further claims that despite the PDP's resolve to head to the Supreme Court, Atiku was yet to appeal the Tribunal's judgement eight days after it was delivered.

The PDP according to the report, has only 14 days from the day the judgement of the tribunal was delivered to appeal. The 14 days will elapse next Wednesday.
