Despite federal government's order, members of the #RevolutionNow movement stormed the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos chanting revolutionary songs.
Recall that Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement was arrested on Saturday by operatives of the Department of State Services on account of the scheduled protest for today 5th of August.
Punch reports that security agents under the aegis of OP MESA, a joint Internal Security Operational platform made up of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, had surrounded the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, in the early hours of Monday, preventing the protesters from entering the public structure.
The paper also reported that the security agents fired gunshots and teargas at the protesters to disperse them.
