The recent attack on former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg Germany some weeks ago, has created fear across the country as political leaders are wary of similar experiences once they venture out of the country.
Now, it appears the next in line to travel out of the country is Senator Shehu Sani who recently advised political leaders on what to do should they travel out of the country. Sani who is conscious of the possibility of being attacked by the group, said via tweeter that his hosts will have to change his title from "Senator" to "former Senator" in a bid to remind IPOB that he's no longer a serving Senator hence should be ticked off the groups list of targets.
One group just invited us to London to deliver a lecture to them,I just tell them make them put a signboard of Ex Senator for entrance gate,my other serving colleague whom them invite too say make them put ex senator for him tag,my brother life no get second.— Senator Shehu Sani (@ShehuSani) August 30, 2019
He said, "One group just invited us to London to deliver a lecture to them,I just tell them make them put a signboard of Ex Senator for entrance gate,my other serving colleague whom them invite too say make them put ex senator for him tag,my brother life no get second."
Whether it's a joke played by the former Senator or not, the fear of being attacked by a certain group outside the country is a sign of how bad things have become in the country, and the need for a change.
