Ekweremadu: Leaders who failed Nigerians have every reason to worry — Sani

Senator Shehu Sani
As condemnations continues to pour from different quarters over the recent attack on former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg Germany, Senator Shehu Sani has warned that a dangerous precedent has been set, and that all political office holders should be very worried.

Following the attack on Ekweremadu last week, IPOB warned that politicians traveling out of the country should watch out because their own experiences may be much worse than that of the former Deputy Senate President.

There was a report claiming that former governor of Abia State who now serves in the senate, has cancel his planned medical trip to Spain over fear of being attacked by the pro Biafran group. It's probably situations like this that makes Sani's advice comes handy.

He said, "In view of the mob action against Ekwerenmadu,a dangerous precedent has been set, it’s for everyone in the position of power to take caution; maintain a low profile while abroad and avoid invitation to swim in seemingly calm crocodiles pools."

The Presidency has been blamed for pushing Nigerians to the limit due to its failure to bring about the positive changes it promised Nigerians en-route to power in 2015. Nigerians are believed to have ran out of patience and are now turning against their own leaders.

The Presidency on its part, has condemned the actions of IPOB against Ekweremadu, and vowed that those who attacked the former Deputy Senate President will be fished out and brought to book.

The lawmaker was attending the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo in Germany when the incident occurred. He is now back into the country and said he'll live vengeance to history.
