Fulani assured that given the caliber and background of individuals who constituted the cabinet in addition to the experience acquired at the two-day retreat organized to intimate them with the demands of next level agenda as well as the intended direction of this administration, it will only take a little while before Nigerians begin to reap the dividends of good governance.
While dismissing criticism from opposition quarters that the President ought to have his cabinet list ready immediately after being sworn in, Fulani, who doubles as the National Coordinator, Proudly APC, a pro-Buhari interest group within the APC, described the appointment and inauguration of the new ministers as timely and properly constituted, adding that those criticizing the President lack basic knowledge of the intricacy involved in scrutiny and selection process of ministers, given heavy horse-trading amongst the political class.
Speaking on portfolio allocation to the ministers, Fulani said Buhari did very well by retaining the returning ministers in their formers ministries, saying this will help them continue from where they stopped.
He however expressed reservations about some greenhorns who were appointed to ministries that are entirely new to them, saying he believes with their records and antecedents in past assignments, they will in no time get used to the challenges and demands of their new assignment.
