Liberty and rule of law cannot strive under a tyranny government, says Sen Sani

Shehu Sani, the Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th national assembly, said that liberty and rule of law will hardly strive under a tyranny government.

The Senator's statement is not unconnected with the way President Buhari has been ruling the country since he came to power, and which has seen him lose the confidence of the electorates.



Buhari’s government has been accused of disrespecting court orders and freedom of speech as enshrined in the constitution.

Sani stated this on his verified twitter handle on Thursday.

"No institution of democracy or articles of the constitution can better defend liberty and the rule of law,and protect the people from their Government when it bends towards tyranny or injustice than a conscious and awakened citizenry.
