Funke: I warned you not to vote for Buhari but you refused to listen — Kanu tell Yorubas

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu
Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has described the rising wave of atrocities by Fulani herdsmen in the South West as the price of their voting choice in both 2015 and 2019.

While commiserating with the Yoruba nation over the sad incident, Kanu said the late Funke Olasurin was an innocent victim of the wrong political choice of the Yoruba people.

He said he had warned them against voting President Muhammadu Buhari because of his soft spot for herders but that they ignored him because of the 2023 presidential ambition of Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

The IPOB Leader in a press statement issued by his Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, however, reminded the Yoruba that it was time for action and not mere lamentations which do not move the enemies.

According to him, unless Yoruba and Middle Belt youths close ranks with IPOB in the struggle for Nigeria liberation, similar fate awaits all.

Kanu said the increasing attacks on innocent Nigerias by violent Fulani herdsmen must not be allowed to go unpunished.

He urged the South and Middle Belt to unite and resist the impunity of Fulani herders and their sponsors who he alleged were on a mission to disposses indigenous Nigerias of their ancestral lands.
