Stop generalizing Fulani as bad people — Oba Akiolu warns Nigerians

His Royal highness, Oba Rilwan Akiolu
The Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akinolu, has warned Nigerians to stop generalizing Fulani as bad people, saying the fact that some are bad should not mean the whole tribe is bad.

Akiolu stated this at a reception held on Saturday at his palace for the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila in Lagos.

Oba Akiolu said: “It is not all Fulani that are bad. It is only few. But I know in Lagos, we are security-concious.”

Gbajabiamila, in his response, said he was appreciative of the Oba’s support.

“I want to thank you for the support I have so far received from you right from the time I was first elected as a member of the House of Representatives. And I have been elected the second, third, fourth and now the fifth term. Kabiyesi, I must tell you that the office of the Speaker is opened to all Nigerians and is for everybody,” the Speaker said.
