Rugan Fulani settlement, a recipe for disaster — Sen Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, the Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th national assembly, has described federal government plan to establish Fulani settlement across Nigeria as 'a recipe for disaster'.

The outspoken Senator in a tweet on his verified twitter handle on Thursday said that those behind the idea of establishing such are 'viewing the problem from their tinted windows'.

Recall that the Federal Government on Tuesday said in the next five years, the establishment of Ruga settlements in the country would stop open grazing by herdsmen and end herdsmen- farmers’ clashes across the country.

It explained that the establishment of Ruga settlements, which had been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari and had started in 12 states, would allow herdsmen to stay in specific areas, where they could graze their animals.
